Woohoo I am officially signed up to exhibit at Brickbottom Open Studios. I even have a page on the Brickbottom site.

Seen on the interweb....
Here is a thought provoking one:
Steve Jobs once said the secret to innovation comes from “saying no to 1000 things.” What have you said "no" to lately?
I sure don't say no often enough.

Art ---> Diet ---> Art
Plan the work. Work the plan.
Focus on what's vital, not what's urgent. The hard part is knowing the difference.
So I am getting serious about dieting....Yes it is true! Counting those calories. I am determined to take off the extra baggage. I really hope it will help me find the energy to do the art I want to do. Time will tell.
Here are a couple of new sketches. Just fooling around.

Attitude correction
I am adopting this quote I found on someone else's blog:
I choose to know the truth about myself no matter how beautiful it is.....

Today I was thrilled that someone I don't know "liked" a picture I posted of the Chihuly glass exhibit at the MFA. Of course I had to visit her page and there I found these wonderful quotations which are sadly not attributed but quite worthy of repeating here.
"For what it's worth, it's never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit... start whenever you want... you can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that stop you. I hope you feel things that you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life that you're proud of and if you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."
"Along the way you bump into people who make a dent on your life. Some people get struck by lightning. Some are born to sit by a river. Some have an ear for music. Some are artists. Some swim the English Channel. Some know buttons. Some know Shakespeare. Some are mothers. And some people can dance."
